Janet has been involved in real estate for the past 20 years. During that time, her continuing education included paralegal courses at Gannon University with a focus in real estate. Janet was a member and chairman of the Greivance Committee for 12 years and also served on the education committee.

Janet has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Sociology. After college, she became a social worker with a focus on testing children for lead poisoning and working with families to correct the problem in the Pittsburgh area. She also volunteered at the Home for Crippled Children. She was a volunteer at the Shriner's Hospital here in Erie.
